Mirador de la Cornisa (Las Vistillas)
A small park with the best cheap view in Madrid.
A scruffy little park just south of the Royal Palace with a terrace bar and a view straight over the cathedral, the palace and the sierra behind.
Free. Best an hour before sunset. In summer there is a verbena here during the San Isidro and Paloma festivals, which is one of the most genuinely Madrid things you can do.
