A public holiday in the city of Madrid, and the centre of the year's biggest fiesta.

What happens: chotis danced in the streets, people in chulapo and chulapa dress, free concerts across the city, and an enormous picnic on the Pradera de San Isidro where the tradition is to drink the water from the saint's spring and eat rosquillas.
