Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza

The third of the "Golden Triangle" and the easiest to actually finish. It runs chronologically from the 13th century to pop art, so it is the one to visit if you want the whole story rather than one country's version of it.

Free on Monday afternoons (12:00–16:00), permanent collection only.

Smaller and calmer than the Prado. The café in the courtyard is decent and not tourist-priced.
