A converted slaughterhouse that is now the best free cultural space in the city.
Enormous former abattoir on the river, turned into a cultural centre. Exhibitions, film, design, a reading room, and a huge outdoor plaza that fills up in summer.
Most exhibitions are free. The programme changes constantly, so check what is on rather than turning up hoping.
Combine it with a walk along Madrid Rรญo โ it is right on the river path.
