Orgullo / MADO — Madrid Pride

Madrid Pride, centred on Chueca and running for about a week around the end of June and the start of July, with the main march on the Saturday.

It is enormous — hundreds of thousands of people — and the whole barrio becomes a street party. Chueca is effectively impassable for the weekend, and hotel prices in the centre go up accordingly.

Dates shift each year; the march is usually the first Saturday of July.
